What To Expect at Our Cary Physical Therapy Office

The experience at Prue Physical Therapy & Sports Performance will probably be very different from what most people expect when they hear “Physical Therapy”. You will enter a situation where your appointment is your appointment. No sharing appointment times with 3 other patients or long waits to see a therapist. Even better you will see the same therapist every visit and that therapist’s time and focus will be on your goals and needs. All of our physical therapists have received their Doctorate in Physical Therapy and continue to stay up to date on the most recent research in order to provide you the highest and most effective level of care. We offer a setting where patients can take an active role in their care.

During your visit we will utilize a variety of treatment techniques based on your needs, including manual therapy, soft tissue mobilization and corrective exercises. We will not utilize passive treatment modalities like ultrasound, electrical stimulation or mechanical traction. The reason for this is because these types of treatment methods have not shown to be as effective as once thought, and they create patient dependency on their physical therapist. At Prue Physical Therapy & Sports Performance our goal is to decrease your pain and improve your function as fast as possible, while providing you with the tools to help prevent the problem from coming back.

We ask that you wear clothes that will allow the therapist to thoroughly examine and treat the appropriate regions of your body. For example if you are having knee pain we ask that you wear or bring shorts to your appointment.

Payment is expected at the time of your visit, and you will be provided a receipt for insurance reimbursement following your treatment.
